 Birth Doula

 Research has shown having a Doula to support you during the birth process can lead to:
 
50% reduction of caesarean rate
25% shorter labour
60% reduction in epidural request
30% reduction in analgesia used
40% reduction in forceps delivery

Postnatal Doula

 

 Mothers who have had the support of a Doula after birth were less anxious and depressed, more confident with baby and more likely to be breastfeeding.

 

 Having a Doula means that the mother can rest, have reassurance and bond with her baby and maintain her relationship with older siblings and her partner.
